What To Do About Yahoo
Due to the overwhelming number of requests I have gotten for the Yahoo security email address I am sorry to say that I will no longer be sending it out to people. Between blog comments and emails requesting it I have gotten far too many requests to be able to comply.
The reason why I published my story was not to become a clearinghouse for an email address that may or may not be the one you need. I wanted to tell my story so that:
- People would understand that you can get control of your Yahoo account back.
- People would understand that the process for doing it is not easy.
- People would feel empowered by my experience and would use it as a starting point to getting their own accounts back.
As I say in the original post on how I got my account back the security email address was given to me after explaining my situation to someone on the phone. Instead of asking me for the email address you should be calling the telephone number I gave. For all any of us know the email address I got may have changed since then, been repurposed for a different use or may not even be the one you need to get what you need.
So go back and re-read my original post, find the phone number (I’ll give you a hint, it’s at the end of the fifth paragraph), call it and calmly & patiently explain your situation to the first human you get on the phone. That person will be far more qualified to properly direct you on your next step than I am.
