Using Twitter To Post Your Facebook Status
Very often (but not all the time) I’d like to post one of my Twitter tweets to my Facebook status. In the past I would copy and paste the status to both places manually. But I always wanted it to be easier than that. Last week I figured out how. I found a way to post the same status to Twitter and Facebook without the need to go to a third party site every time I wanted to do it. Now all I need to do is add the #fb hashtag to the end of my tweet.
Setting this up is quite simple. Just install the Selective Twitter Status app on Facebook. To do this use the following steps.
- Go to Selective Twitter Status.
- Enter your Twitter username in the provided box and click the save button.
- When the “Allow Access” box appears click the “Allow” button.
- In the “Allow Status Updates from Selective Twitter Status?” box click the “Allow Status Updates” button.
That’s all there is to it. From now on whenever you want a tweet to be used as your Facebook status just add the #fb hashtag to the end of your tweet. There will be a delay of a minute or two between the time you post your tweet and the time it appears as your status. But this is the simplest way to selectively use a Twitter status as a Facebook status.
